Hello there! You may be wondering who I am… or probably already know who I am since you’re on here. Allow me to introduce myself again.

My name is Roly Ortega. I’m 27 from South Florida and for the last nine years, Changing Newscasts has been my project, my work of art, my champion of my love for broadcasting. I’ve been blessed to inform the public, make connections, and so much more.

I’ve taken a year-long sabbatical from this site but now I feel re-energized to come back and deliver the stories once again! This time, Changing Newscasts will be on Substack, a brand-new platform for us. This will allow me to hopefully debut new features on the service. Not only that, this could be an easier platform for me to post stories that you’ll want to see from this service, and maybe, just maybe, even launch a podcast version of this service. Who knows what I may do with it?

I’m sending this email to you know to let you know that Changing Newscasts returns on Monday with all new stories… stories that date back from a year ago that will be covered plus stories that are coming out now as a result of the upcoming TV season and the multitude of changes that come with it.

How will this work when I come back? Well, when I come back on Monday, I will start with the smallest market size that I can offer that has a new story to tell from the past year, and then work our way up until I reach the biggest market in the country, and yes, NYC will be mentioned here in this upcoming series.

I receive them all via email and then take the time to confirm them myself before I report on them.
